Case Study – Misbourne School

Case Study - Misbourne School

Project Details
This large scale commercial underfloor heating project was installed by S E Cook into a new 1250m2 school classroom block at Misbourne School. A full underfloor heating solution was used across all 3 floors and the project included just over 6000 metres of 16mm Multi-layer Composite Pipe (MLCP) laid directly onto the floor with screed subsequently applied. Maincor MLCP is highly flexible, formstable, has low expansion rates and a 100% oxygen barrier making it an ideal choice for underfloor heating.

The project included 8 Maincor UFH manifolds and 6 of these were used in conjunction with the new UFH Control Pack 250 increasing the efficiency and controllability of the system. The Large Control Pack uses an actuated blending valve and a Wilo A rated pump to circulate and blend the water. It can be used to a max floor area of 250m² at an output of 70W/m².

Working with the customer to support this project Maincor provided a full site survey and design solution for the Mechanical Engineer and on-site support and product training. Maincor also offer a long-term insurance backed warranty for extra peace of mind.
