Cable Protection

Maincor offer a range of solutions for cable protection with products available for inside and outside of buildings which are manufactured in various designs, sizes and colours depending on market and customer specific requirements. A huge portfolio of standard products are stocked however we also manufacture to customer specifications should the need arise.

Underground Installations

For underground protection Maincor offer the UCOREX an DUOLIGHT products are used in all fields of energy and communication cabling. They can also be used as empty conduits for future cable protection. A wide range of accessories is available including spacers, connection sleeves, stoppers,  elbows and couplers.

 

Ucorex – is a twin wall rigid pipe that is supplied in 6 metre HDPE straight length.  The pipe is made of HD-PE on both the inner and outer pipes resulting in a high pressure resistance finish that gives a robust finish. Pipes range from 50-200mm (outer diameter).

Duolight- is a flexible twin wall pipe that is supplied in flexible 50m coils although other lengths are available on request. The pipe has an outer layer of HDPE outer and an LDPE inner and includes a draw in aid which allows fast insertion of the traction cable. This combination gives high flexibility and allows for narrow bending.  Pipes range from 40-175mm (outer diameter).

Internal Installations

Maincor offer a range of solutions for cable protection for internally protecting cables. Our products are approved and certified by the VDE – an independent institution.  The characteristics that are offered are broken down into 4 categories and ranges are as follows; the compressive strength of the pipes range from very light (125N) to very heavy (4000N), the impact strength ranges from very light (0.5kg/100mm) to very heavy (6.8kg/300mm), the minimum temperature ranges from +5°C to -45°C and maximum temperature ranges from +60°C to +250°C. Within each range a selection of 5 grades is available which consequentially; the economically correct product can be selected for each individual application.
